Photography is both an outlet and a fuel for my love of natural history. It lets me hold on to my favorite moments and demands that I observe carefully and differently every time I go shoot. I also embrace the challenge of capturing moving subjects that do not accommodate me in the least. These photos are arranged geographically, and within that loosely by subject. They span most of the natural environments in which I've been lucky to immerse myself. Just like with painting, I think photography gives a window into the mind of the photographer. Since everyone approaches it with a unique perspective, I think they are worth sharing.
